After the disastrous performance by the president in the first debate, which Romney won hands down, Obama stalwarts like Chris Rock and Andrew Sullivan cried bitter tears, and wondered out loud if their champion had just lost the election. Obama thought the debate was in the bag, but Romney took the debate and ran with it. The vice-president commiserates with the president on losing Chris Rock and Andrew Sullivan.
I tell you Joe, Obama said

May not turn out to be a plus

My take is we’re ahead

Enough to make Mitt Romney sad
We’ve got this stuff down pat
Sweet Andrew though, Obama sighed
Has let his courage flee
His faith in me has simply died
As far as I can see

If we lose in the Fall
