Our Pockeestahn Ally

Both the Pakistani government and Barak Obama insist Pakistan is a faithful ally of the United States. Why then does Pakistan knife us in the back every chance it gets?

The Pockee have the gift of gab

The Pockee have the knife to stab

The Pockee smile and take our dough

The Pockee say you cannot go

The Pockee say supply your men

The Pockee say we tell you when

The Pockee say you build your forts

The Pockee have us by the shorts

Under The Waves

The Obama administration has piled debt upon debt, stimulus upon stimulus, billions of dollars to cronies, with the result the country is about to drown beneath the waves of debt and incompetence. The European Union is about to go bust, and Pakistan is actively killing our guys with no fear of Obama consequences. Over The Waves was a very popular waltz of a world long gone. The music remains, but the words are new, as we are now Under The Waves.

When Euro you love

It’s the longest dark night of the year

Stars twinkle above

They’re about to go out never fear

Words fall into rhyme

As your holdings so quick disappear

When Euro you love

It’s the longest dark night of the year

Rolling along in the breeze

From a Paki bomb embassy blast

Paki is smiling ‘cause he’s

Got our money and spending it fast

A knife in our back

Paki smiles as he knows it will last

Rolling along with the breeze

From a Paki bomb embassy blast

The Jooooz

The Palestinians have asked the UN to grant them statehood, though they firmly refuse to agree not to kill all the Jews. My Arab friend Ahmed explained the Middle East to me.

Now here’s the news

It seems the Jooooz

Have stolen all the money

And turned to sand

All Arab land

Where once flowed milk and honey

So let us get

Rid of them yet

And we’ll be rich as Croesus

When Jooooz are gone

We’ll see the dawn

And maybe embrace Jesus

Oh yes we’ll change

We’ll rearrange

The manner of our living

We’ll make amends

We’ll all be friends

But Jooooz we’re not forgiving

It’s Too Late, Toots

Marty Peretz, David Brooks and Peggy Noonan, all of whom swooned in ecstasy at the very thought of electing the messianic first black president Barak Hussein Obama to the presidency, are now not so sure. Peretz is concerned that Obama has made the Middle East situation worse, and Brooks, the New York Times’ pseudo token conservative, admits he was a sap. As for our Peggy, it’s too late, toots.

Peretz says Middle East in tatters

A little late, not that it matters

Yes I’m a sap, says David Brooks

But I still like Obama’s looks

Just nothing worked, Miss Noonan cries

And dabs fake teardrops from her eyes

Oh yes they cheered him way back when

But his is now and that was then

And we who knew him from the start

Say baby, we don’ give a fart

And Brooksie, take your New York Times

And shove it where your grasss knoll rhymes

And little Peggy, oh so sweet

Go sell your sweetness on the street

We’re tired of you, your faux big brains

Get out, you’re clogging up our drains

The Birkenhead Drill

About 0200, 26 February 1852, the iron hulled paddle wheel steamer HMS Birkenhead, carrying soldiers and their families to South Africa for the Xhosa War, struck a rock off Cape Town and sank. The women and children were put in the three remaining lifeboats, while the men, under command of Lieutenant Colonel Seton of the 74th Regiment of Foot, assembled in ranks on the deck. Fearing that hundreds of men leaving the sinking ship would endanger the women and children in the lifeboats, Seton set his men to doing close order drill while the ship sank beneath them. Obama probably never heard of HMS Birkenhead, and such courage and gallantry would have only made him sneer, but he is attempting his own version of the Birkenhead Drill, ordering the Democrats to stand firm while the ship sinks beneath them.

In the darkness off a rocky shore

Obama’s ship has struck

Taking all aboard her down

If we have any luck

Down The Memory Hole

We are now a month past the tenth anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center, and it is clear the events of 11 September 2001 are fast disappearing down the memory hole. Will that day be remembered at all ten, fifty, a hundred years from now? Just the other day I had the privilege of traveling to the future, to the year 2111 to be precise. I spoke to a forty-something man named Eloi who had just graduated with honors from a prestigious Ivy League university, and asked him what was now thought about the events of September 11, 2001.

He looked at me with puzzled frown

And said, as moments lapsed

Was that the day some stuff came down?

A building fell, collapsed?

It happened often then, I’m told

As engineers were not

So good back in those days of old

Their skills were not so hot

Now take today, he said, enthused

The government sees all

A Mr. Morlock just refused

A claim, as I recall

That certain people captured planes

And did some harm one day

But Morlock says ‘twas just some Danes

Cartoonists, if you may

He smiled and said now I must run

My Imam really cares

But when he’s mad it is no fun

I’m late for Friday prayers

Swallowed A Fly

The Eurps are reaching out to the US to cover the cost of bailing out the Greeks, and Treasury Secretary Geithner and Fed Chairman Bernanke seem ready to do so to the tune of another two trillion dollars added to our already stratospheric debt. Pouring more money down the Greek rathole is like trying to remove the fly from the old lady’s stomach. We all remember the one about the old lady who swallowed a fly, then swallowed a spider to catch the fly, and so on. Well, the old lady is not Greece, Greece is the spider, and the old lady is the European Union.

There was an old lady who swallowed a fly

I don’t know why she swallowed the fly

Perhaps she’ll die.

There was an old lady who swallowed  a spider

That wiggled and wiggled and tickled inside her

She swallowed the spider to catch the fly

Perhaps she’ll die

There was an old lady who swallowed a bank

That teetered and tottered and then it sank

I don’t know why she swallowed the bank

Perhaps she’ll die

There was an old lady who swallowed a France

That rumbled and grumbled and then left the dance

I don’t know why she swallowed a France

Perhaps she’ll die

There was an old lady who swallowed us

We opened the vaults without any fuss

I don’t know why she swallowed us

Perhaps we’ll die

The Eunuch

The Obama administration is concerned, nay fearful, that in the January 2012 election in Taiwan, the opposition leader, Tsai Ing-wen, may very well win, making China angry, and the last thing Obama wants is to make China angry. So Obama talks tough to the Taiwanese, telling them not to vote for Tsai Ing-wen, but the Taiwanese appear about to elect her in spite of Obama threats. Our position in the South China Sea, which China sees as a Chinese lake, has so deteriorated under Obama that James Webb, a Democrat Senator, said we are rapidly approaching a Munich moment with China. Is our president just an incompetent clown? When he threatens, is his stern tone just a cover for a tremolo?

Yes our president’s a eunuch

Who while planning a new Munich

Struts on stage and claims he’s toughest guy in town

But limp muscles on his body

And a threat so pure castrati

Show he’s more a Sapphic peahen than a clown

The Rise Of The Chinese Corpse

Europeans, those old China despoilers, are reduced to asking the Chinese to lend them money so they can avert economic disaster. The Chinese coolly say, “We may, for a price.” And what is that price to be? It is payback time for the long nosed round eyes.

To Portugese, the old Chinese

Were simply not quite human

They plied the whips to load the ships

But never made them crewmen

The British too, a skittish crew

Took Hong Kong for a pittance

To bring in smack, a mark so black

Then left to a ‘Good riddance’

Well that was then, and that was when

But now that China’s risen

They’re getting theirs, and now prepares

To give the long nose his’n

Death In A Small Brussels Town

Symbolism. All is symbolism. A Greek debt default on 15 October means the end of the Eurozone, probably the end of the European Union, and possibly the end of the Euro  as a common currency, because the European banks who insanely kept buying worthless Greek bonds hoping to delay the inevitable will find themselves in the same position as Lehman Brothers. That is to say, they will be broke and broken, with the likely result the resumption of the old nation states of Europe, each with its own currency, a far more manageable and sensible arrangement. Which brings me to the symbolism of the title of this post: It is titled Death In A Small Brussels Town instead of Death In A Small Belgian Town, because there has not been for fifty years a Belgium or Germany or France, but the soon to be dead artificial European Nation State of Brussels.

In silence they stood

As the body was borne

With slow solemn steps

To a hearse drab and worn

Black horses at ease

As the casket was placed

In the bowels of the hearse

A life’s promise erased

And so it has gone

Gone the socialist dream

Gone and buried for good

‘Mid the Left’s silent scream

In a small Brussels town

In a drizzling rain

The corpse was interred

The Left’s promise in vain
