Boadicea

The European Union is in trouble, and in an attempt to save it, France and Germany produced a scheme that was rejected by several EU members, Britain included. It seems the British are finally getting their backs up about the steady erosion of British sovereignty. Maybe they remember some of their history after all. While strolling through the park in London I spied a tiny, flamboyantly dressed woman firing up the crowd.

“The German shall not rule this land!”

Thus Boadicea spake

And withal gathered up her arms

For much there was at stake

“The Roman fled before my sword!”

She cried and raised the flag

“We shall not yield our future for

An empty euro bag!”

So saying she bestrode her horse

The Brusselsmen to slay

And ran them through with tempered steel

And thusly saved the day

“For Britain bows to no man’s threat!”

She cried, “The Zone be damned!

And let those Eurocrats right up

Their fundaments be jammed!”
