Caudillos

A sizeable portion of the electorate has settled into the idea that Obama is their daddy, giving them phones and welfare and free health care and maybe even the keys to the car once in a while. But another name for political daddies is dictator, or caudillo, or czar or caliph or something. But this country does not elect caudillos, not intentionally at any rate, though some believe Obama plans on being president for life, which is pretty much the same thing as caudillo. Obama has taken some major steps on the road to caudillohood, his contempt for the Constitution of the United States barely masked, like his decision that he has the authority to kill American citizens by drone attack. But like I said, we don’t elect caudillos.

No we don’t elect caudillos

No one likes those ugly things

Much too like those armadillos

Give me emperors and kings

Royal purple is my color

Golden crowns and marble thrones

Simple presidents are duller

‘Ceptin’ when they’re flying drones

True Is False And False Is True

The Radical Left has redefined the dictionary, where words no longer mean what they used to mean.  Truth is now falsity and falsity is now truth. Everything is now reversed. The government tells us that we are in a contracting expansion in the midst of a jobless recovery. We are told that borrowing one trillion dollars every year does not mean we have a spending problem. The government fixes, massages, manipulates and otherwise distorts the truth to show that the inflation rate and the jobless rate are much lower than they really are. But that is normal operating procedure for the Left. Words are simply another weapon in the Left’s never ending war against us.

Blue is red and red is blue

True is false and false is true

Wise is stupid, stupid’s wise

Lies are truths and truths are lies

White is black and black is white

Night is day and day is night

We cannot speak, or have our say

There’s nothing real, it’s all for play

Do as you’re told, we know what’s best

And now we lay you down to rest

Sail On O Ship Of State

Barack Obama is a man who has never held a job in the private sector, a Marxist community organizer whose job required that he never take action by himself, but urged others to take action together, and he has carried this philosophy into the White House with him. The result of his policy of inaction, of removing the United States from the affairs of the world in order to advance his goal of destroying the economy and armed forces of the United States, is the chaos that now reigns throughout the world, and will soon spill over onto our shores. Yet all is calm in Washington DC. The press are solidly behind the president, and as far as the Democrats and the press are concerned, the ship of state is on a steady and confident course. So I guess all is well.

Sail on, O noble ship of state

Our commodore, Barack the great

Has set a course for greener fields

While in his sturdy left hand wields

A force of lower power yields

On which he rests our fate

He scorns to take at value’s face

The fact that should his trust misplace

And little folk now have the bomb

He will with smile and cool aplomb

Contend ‘twas worse along the Somme

And exit with some grace

For he will say ‘twas not his fault

He tried with might and main to halt

Iran from nuking Tel Aviv

And even now he can’t believe

That honest Muslims would deceive

And spread his wounds with salt

Ah well, now that the deed is done

And of survivors there are none

And lands lay waste and crops ablaze

And burned out cities in the haze

Obama, in Earth’s final days

Plays golf, he needs some fun

Asteroids And Meteorites

The Global Warming people never give up.  When the asteroid passed us by a whisker a few days ago, trailing meteorites that flashed across the sky, causing windows to blow out in Russia, a CNN anchor asked a meteorite expert if the meteorites were the result of global warming.  Such is the world in which we live- ignorance of the simplest things is accepted as the norm, and the stupidest questions are given respectful answers, so long as the ignorance and the stupidity are on the part of our betters.

Asteroids and meteorites

And magic from the sky

That cause the booms

To shake the rooms

That make the babies cry

But not to worry we know what

Is causing skies to storm

It’s CO2

By me and you

That’s causing Earth to warm

The Decline Of The West

There’s a lot of talk these days about the imminent decline of the West in general and the United States in particular. I believe the first mention of imminent decline was found in a cave painting in southern France. Empires grow sclerotic and decline; democracies do not. Democracies are self-cleansing. The democracies of Western Europe will cleanse themselves of the non-elected bureaucrats who run the European Union, and the American voting public will cleanse themselves of the Obama catastrophe.

Since I’m in my declining years

And rid of my once youthful fears

I find the prospect of decline

To be a little short of fine

But on the whole I can’t complain

My life has been good in the main

I lived when honor was the way

That men and women lived their day

When presidents did not tell lies

And games we played could end in ties

The country was much better then

And better still will be again

The present always looks so dark

The prospects always seem so stark

But we’ll survive we always do

We’ve miles to go ‘fore toodle-oo

A Shiny Coin Of Gold

The Federal Reserve is printing money faster than Obama can spend it, and the government has rigged the reporting and accounting systems in such a way as the reported rate of inflation is kept absurdly low.  They do this by not including gasoline and food in the market basket used to calculate the rate of inflation, and since the price of anvils has remained remarkably steady, the inflation rate is tolerable, even though fifty dollars now buys a very small bag of groceries and won’t get you a fill-up at the gas station. So remember, the next time you hear or read or see that the rate of inflation is low, don’t believe it, it’s a lie. Or as the most transparent administration on record would no doubt put it, it’s a transparent lie. And if Obama has his way, we’ll have hyper inflation, and a hundred dollar bill will buy you a piece of gum.

About a thousand years ago

The Chinese won the race

To change the way that money worked

And ultimately face

The fact that paper money would

In no time take the place

Of metal coinage and thereby

The currency debase

The Chinese printed theirs on silk

While others paper used

At first gold backed by one to one

Then gradually diffused

As governments soon realized

That people didn’t care

If gold or silver backed the scrip

So long’s they got their share

And so we’ve come full circle where

If anything gets sold

The buyer has to come up with

A shiny coin of gold

Our New Political Class

Our new political class is characterized by its perversion, corruption and incompetence. Take the charges by underage Dominican Republic prostitutes that Senator Robert Menendez, D-NJ, routinely flew to the Dominican for their company. It may be the girls were not underage by Dominican law, where prostitution is legal, but does that matter? Of course it doesn’t, not in any moral sense. An underage girl is an underage girl. But will any of this matter to the career and lifestyle of Senator Robert Menendez, D-NJ? It will not, because he belongs to the right political party, a political party where perversion is the norm.

If upfront with your perversion

You don’t need a fake conversion

You can play with teenage girls just as you choose

Or with boys if that’s your fancy

‘Cause you’re proud to be a nancy

And you start the party off with bootleg booze

Things are swell the laughs are hearty

All because you’re in the party

That does not pretend to be what they are not

Everyone just laughs and says he’s

Just himself and if he does please

More than one girl at a time well then so what

If you’re Dem then nothing matters

Reputations hang in tatters

You are re-elected and you spend and tax

Take the money kiss the honey

There is nothing that’s more funny

Than Republicans who cannot face the facts

No Consequences

Former Senator Chuck Hagel, a breathtakingly incompetent man, has been selected to be our next Secretary of Defense, confirming us in our belief that Obama wants above all to destroy the military of the United States, along with destroying the economy. But Hagel isn’t the only incompetent Obama has placed in high position. Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State is one of many. And it isn’t only the administration. The Democrat Senate has just seated Robert Menendez of NJ as the chairman of the powerful Senate Foreign Relations committee, despite his fondness for underage Dominican Republic prostitutes, and his involvement with a wealthy Florida doctor who gave much money to the Menendez campaign in return for Menendez’s help in getting a billion dollar port security contract from the government of the Dominican Republic. There are no consequences any more for being incompetent or for being corrupt, so long as you belong to the right political party. It can now be truly said that the federal government is indeed the chains that bind us.

No consequence

No wan suspense

They’re safe upon the ladder

Incompetence

Or smug pretense

They know it doesn’t matter

We won they smirk

Now get to work

You know we are your betters

So don’t complain

About your pain

You’ll love your brand new fetters

Old Blue

For some sixty years the Democrats have been trying to destroy the best health care system the world has ever seen, and they finally succeeded , albeit with subterfuge and vote buying among the Dem Senators. The final bill passed, and Obamacare was the law of the land, despite a very substantial majority of the American people who did not want it. No one really knew what was in the bill, but the Democrats knew what they wanted, and they got it, which was a vehicle for the destruction of the private insurance companies, and the forcing of the American people, against their will, into a European style single payer system, a system that has shown it can only stay in business by rationing care, by substandard health care in the national hospitals, and the inevitable death panels where bureaucrats decide if you live or die, depending upon your age and value to the state. 1984 got here a little late, but it got here, thanks to Barack Hussein Obama. And when Blue Cross and Blue Shield are gone, we will all be singing that old folk song, Old Blue.

Had an old dog, and his name was Blue

When I got sick he knew what to do

Paid my bills and the doctor too

Old Blue

Obama come, and he come on a run

Said Old Blue, your days are done

Old Blue

Old Blue died, and he died mighty hard

None could afford his old plastic card

Blue, Blue, Old Blue

When I get to heaven I know what I’ll do

I’ll get on the horn and I’ll call Old Blue

Blue, Blue, Old Blue

My Hat

The coming war for Andalus will be savage and unrelenting.  Unopposed, the Muslim grows strong, confident of victory. Many in Europe will welcome the invader from inside, seeing little difference in what will seem to them to be simply a change of one religious superstition for another. But it will be more than that, and there will be those Europeans who remember what it meant to be master in the lands of their ancestors, and they will resist, and it will not be settled by negotiation; it will be settled only by savage force of arms. Islam will come to understand what western soldiers are made of, regardless of what kind of hat or helmet they wore. And if it takes western civilians with no hats or helmets to drive the Muslims into the sea, or kill them all, then it will be done. And it will come to this, my friend, it will come to this because of western fecklessness in the face of Islamic terror and killing, in the face of unfettered Islamic immigration that will one day, with the vote, turn Europe into the Islamic state of Andalus.

My hat it has three corners

A cockade red and blue

Brown Bess to make some mourners

Replacing bows of yew

With kepi regulation

And rifled musket bore

We conquered us a nation

And evened up the score

My hat now had no corners

‘Twas sleek and painted steel

Yet many more were mourners

Who heard the bell’s sad peal

No hats now as our brothers

Take arms to save their land

To save their wives and mothers

Kill all the crescent band

No quarter will be given

No quarter then received

The landscape red and riven

Survivors not yet grieved

My hat it had three corners

A cockade green and red

And yes I made them mourners

And weeping for their dead
