You Are My Sunshine

The global warming people just don’t give up. Their scam and fraud has been exposed for all to see, yet in high liberal socialist places like the UN, people insist on being paid by the West for not polluting the atmosphere with Carbon, the building block of all life on Earth. Environmental whackos insist, despite all the evidence to the contrary, that the sun has nothing to do with warming the Earth. The claim now is that Sulphur, SO8, will save us from that evil pollutant Carbon dioxide, CO2, a substance we all exhale and have exhaled from the moment of birth. Many years ago, when I was a lad, we boy scouts sat around the campfire and sang You Are My Sunshine. I don’t remember the words, but the melody went something like this.

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine

You warm my woodlands, you warm my seas

You grow my flowers

You gauge my hours

And without you, sunshine, I’d freeze

Now some berate you, while others hate you

Say rising temps are made by man

Their claims are foolish

Just fossil fuelish

And all life on earth they’d ban

Oh mighty orb now, you can absorb now

All CO2 that we exhale

They say S8 now

Will expiate now

For the sin of theory fail

Ask any shaman, the great god Amon

Has circled Earth and warmed our hearths

The highest churchmen

Were in the lurch men

When ‘twas found the circling’s earth’s

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine

You make me happy when skies are gray

You give me sunburn

You make the world turn

Please don’t take my sunshine away

Let’s You And Him Fight

News item: Nato pulls out of Libya operation, citing exhaustion. Italy has pulled out its aircraft carrier, Norway is pulling out its planes and France is negotiating with Khaddafi for a settlement. And all say that only US ground troops can bring the war to an end.

Let’s you and him fight, say the Europeans, exhausted by a low grade, no casualties kinetic slugfest against a guy with no air force or navy and whose mobile armored force consists of a pair of beat-up Toyota pickups.

Of course we’ve heard this all before

It happens every little war

The Euros start and cannot reach the end

From Libya to Kosovo

They start at ease and then go slow

While counting every mortar round they spend

Exhausted now, in deep despair

They’ve reached that blackest point to where

They cry their airplane can’t take any more

And both their pilots called in sick

And so they want that backwoods hick

The US to come in and win the war

And  yes I know we are already flying most if not all of the air strikes, though Obama says it is not a war at all and therefore doesn’t need anybody’s permission to do whatever he wants to a country that up until now was counted as a friend, or at least more friendly than most Arab cessholes.

Summer In The Middle East

It’s amazing how Spring invariably turns into Summer, and the Summer to Fall, and then to Winter. Which is where the Arab Spring is now. Late Summer, and very soon Winter. The revolutions are turning into what everyone with any sense of the Middle East expected, with the radical Islamists gradually assuming power. Obama started the Libya war in the expectation that toppling another Arab dictator nominally favorable to the United States, as was Mubarak in Egypt, would lead to another radical America hating Muslim takeover of a once friendly country, something he evidently much desires. In the meantime, the nation building in Iraq and Afghanistan seems to be at a standstill, with Iran waiting patiently until we leave. Ah well, Pakistan is still on our side. Or are they?

The Arab Spring

Has turned to Summer

And NATO sighs

God what a bummer

The mullahs grin

And send in rockets

While Karzai’s hands

Rifle our pockets

Oiled Paki smiles

Conceal the knife

And Hillary smiles

And says that’s life

The British Way Of Death

A Scottish doctor has called for the establishment of panels to decide who lives and who dies. Of course, he didn’t call it that. The proposal was couched in the familiar lefty terms of compassion with a whiff of economic efficiency thrown in. How will English death panels differ from Obamacare death panels? Well, for one thing, the soothing accent is different.

Efficiency and savings are all that we crave

Which is why we suggest you die now

And of course we will speed you to your waiting grave

With a courteous and courtly bow

Just lie down be comfy and go with a smile

It’s over in just little time

A needle, a drop from this gay colored vial

Just remember you’re not in your prime

And what is more sir please remember that you

Are not working and live on the dole

So needless to say you’re the head of the queue

Putting Exchequer quite in the hole

We really don’t like offing gents of your age

But it’s for your own good don’t you know

The road that you’re taking is now all the rage

Now let’s give them a jolly good show

Connecting The Dots

A madman named Anders Behring Breivik has just killed over a hundred people in Norway, land of my ancestors. But that land is a very long way from the land of the Viking kings. Norway is now a leftist utopia, and some people, like Anders, don’t like it, don’t like the direction Europe has taken down that old socialist road, a road that promises to make Europe into a Muslim colony. Neo-Nazis are gaining strength, people, like Anders, are determined to preserve the graves of their ancestors. Connect the dots. Socialism is destroying Europe, Muslim immigration is destroying Europe, and Crusader societies are rising in strength. This is just the beginning. There will be more. Anders assaulted the ruling left, whom he blames for the problems of Europe. Others will attack the Muslims, and the Muslims will respond. Connect the dots. This is just the beginning. The spider is spinning her web and the dots are connecting.

She sits and she waits

With her unblinking eyes

She is patient, and knows very well

That something will blunder

And say its goodbyes

Trapped for good in the maid spider’s spell

Yes the road’s filled with promise

With smiles all around

The Left strides ahead with its schemes

But far in the distance

The merest faint sound

Signals end to the fine Leftist dreams

The men of faith rise

From the holdings and shires

Crusaders, true men of the land

Who fight for the graves

Of their kin and their sires

And others soon join in their stand

The road that once taken

That leads to the Left

Leads only to misery and death

‘Tis better to fight

Than find family bereft

And down to their last final breath

Yes the spider she waits

For she knows that in time

Her web will connect many dots

And the ending will see

A fair Europe that’s free

Of the Muslims and foul Lefty plots

Red Mother Syndrome

Barak Hussein Obama was born to a Communist mother and Communist father, raised a Muslim with a Muslim Communist mentor, and equipped from birth with a titanic ego. In RMS Titanic, the RMS meant Royal Mail Steamer; today RMS means Red Mother Syndrome, the syndrome that fuels Obama’s titanic ego. And like its namesake, that ego is heading straight for the iceberg, and is taking the country and us passengers with it.

A calm still night, the sea flat black

The Captain says we’ll not turn back

My course is set, my will is firm

I will yet see my foemen squirm

There’s ice in view, a soft voice said

It looks to be just dead ahead

Remain on course! The captain screams

No ice can take me from my dreams

The world is at my fingertips

What do I care for radar blips

The Middle East is going well

Iran will soon have nukes to sell

And that will see Israel gone

And usher in a Muslim dawn

The Pakis are our friends for life

So long as we deflect the knife

And debt? What debt that we might have

Will fade as I apply my salve

On the dark bridge a nervous voice

Said Captain, we still have a choice

A starboard turn and we shall miss

Yon iceberg showing the abyss

Full speed ahead! The Captain yells

And grabs the wheel and rings the bells

The great ship lurches to the thrust

The Captain screams, It’s Marx or bust!

With rending crash the Ship of State

Plows into its intended fate

Red Mother Syndrome forms the son

Whose mother whispers low, Well done!

What Is Time?

Green power is erratic, and this power introduced into the power grid by windmills and solar panels causes fluctuations in the power grid, variations that will cause the clocks to run slow or fast and damage home appliances, including computers. And if the clocks go all wobbly, how will our technological age cope with a world out of phase with the correct time? But what if there is no such thing as correct time? Time has been defined as nature’s way of seeing to it that everything doesn’t happen all at once. But what if everything did happen all at once, at the Singularity? What if time is just a perception? What if the past, the present and the future are all here, in the one and only instant of time that exists, has ever existed, and will ever exist? What of our clocks then? If there is no such thing as time, does it matter that the enviro-whackos set our clocks to wobbling?

I set my clock for half past eight

Lots of time, I’ll not be late

But somewhere in a western state

The wind refused to blow

I woke and saw the clock said ten

I showered, shaved and dressed and then

I drove to my appointment when

I heard a rooster crow

The tower clock said it was six

Though it was off by several ticks

But unconcerned, I knew the fix

Would see the hours slow

I got home in the nick of time

Just as my clock began to chime

And up the stairs I made the climb

And back to bed I go

For time does not exist you see

What’s ten for you is twelve for me

What always was will always be

And we shall never know

The Future

The difference, so far as we know, between man and the other animals is that man is given to dreaming of the future. We remember the past and live in the present, and often the present stands in the way of the future. Still, we continue to dream golden dreams of a future that will never be.

Yes the past is here to stay

But the present’s in the way

Of that grand and golden future of our dreams

Gleaming cities on a hill

Old age vanished with a pill

No the future never comes or so it seems

When man first beheld the stars

He did dream that one day cars

Would propel him quickly to some sunlit shore

And one day when man has tamed

All the galaxies he’s named

He will close his eyes and dream of something more

McConnell’s Gambit

Senator McConnell wants to give Obama carte blanche on the debt ceiling, giving him sole power to raise it without consent or advice from Congress. If it happens, McConnell believes Obama will then own the debt, just like he owns the economy. I’m not so sure that’s a good idea, but who knows. It has been my position all along that the proper strategy for the Republicans is to educate the public on the dangers of the runaway deficits, but not to go mano a mano with the president in 2011, because the president has all the power, (just ask Newt Gingrich) and besides, he has the press on his side. Anything and everything that goes wrong, and the Dems will see to it that things will go wrong, will be blamed on the Republicans, and it will stick, and Obama will be re-elected in 2012. Better to play rope a dope and bring out the artillery in 2012. Obama will own the failed economy and the ballooning debt, and after Obama has been defeated for re-election, the new Republican president can, with control of both Houses, take steps to scale down the bloated bureaucracy and entitlements. Pick your fights when you know you will win, and that time is not now, for in this debt ceiling debate the president holds all the cards.

Sting like a butterfly, float like a bee

Take the impossible stance

Lay out the case for the public to see

Then let the prez struggle to dance

On the rope that he tied ‘round his very own neck

As the jobs and the polls sink him low

Just give him the rope and he’ll write his own check

And at noon on Jan 20 he’ll go

It’s A Liberal World

Is there a difference between a conservative newspaper like Rupert Murdoch’s The News Of The World and Wikileaks? The NOTW invaded peoples’ privacy by hacking the phones of government officials, all in the interest of getting a story. Wikileaks, on the other hand, invaded the privacy of people by printing the private conversations of heads of state and other government officials, all in the interest of embarrassing and compromising the security of the United States. So why is Rupert Murdoch portrayed in the press as a villain and Julian Assange treated as a hero? The answer is Julian Assange is an America hating lefty and Murdoch is an America admiring conservative, so naturally, to the left wing press, Assange is a hero and Murdoch a villain.

I asked a friend, a liberal guy

Was one a journo, one a spy

It seemed to me that they were both the same

He smiled and said that’s just the way

In politics it is today

It’s how we lefties always play the game

You see, he said, with winning smile

We laugh at you for all the while

You think that life is just one big fair shake

But our side now is always right

While your side spends each sleepless night

Just wondering when you will catch a break

You’re always wrong in what you do

You’re wrong in thought and action too

We own the papers and the big TVs

We tell the people what to think

We tell them when to breathe and blink

And let me tell you, we are quite at ease
