Anything and everything that goes wrong, and the Dems will see to it that things will go wrong, will be blamed on the Republicans, and it will stick, and Obama will be re-elected in 2012. Better to play rope a dope and bring out the artillery in 2012. Obama will own the failed economy and the ballooning debt, and after Obama has been defeated for re-election, the new Republican president can, with control of both Houses, take steps to scale down the bloated bureaucracy and entitlements. Pick your fights when you know you will win, and that time is not now, for in this debt ceiling debate the president holds all the cards.
