In My Merry Oldsmobile

The Canadians want to build a pipeline south, bringing massive quantities of oil to American refineries, but the Obama administration and the environmentalists say no. The Left has shut down all drilling and will not permit even a pipeline to despoil the living Goddess Gaia, all of which fits right in with the Obama agenda of returning the United States to the twelfth century, dependent on windmills for power. There was a time Americans could get into their Oldsmobiles and go wherever they wanted, but that day, if Obama has his way, will soon be over.

In my Merry Oldsmobile

I would sit behind the wheel

And I’d go as far as I wanted to

Cost per gallon no big deal

Taking curves at great high speed

Gave me all the fun I need

But now I’m at home and I’m feeling blue

All because of Lefty creed

Our Obama says no gas

And the pipelines shall not pass

And the Gulf’s shut down so the rigs all leave

O says shove it up your ass

O says dream the Gaia dream

Can’t you hear the good earth scream

You must all conform to what I believe

A pristine world is my dream

Now my Oldsmobile’s on blocks

We prepare for OPEC shocks

Yes it’s time to roll as Todd Beamer said

Time to clean their bloody clocks

Do the job and do it well

Time to ring the Liberty Bell

Bury Leftism ‘til it’s good and dead

Send them all straight off to hell

Mothers Day

A few days ago Navy Seals sealed the fate of Osama bin Laden. We salute them, as we salute all who serve, but let us not forget the mothers who gave them birth and raised them from tots to men. A salute to mothers on this Mothers Day, and a salute to the brave men they have given us.

God Bless the moms who give us life

God Bless their boys in diapers

Who grow to be such fine young men

Who rid the world of vipers

God Bless the Seals and chopper crews

And grunts and guys with rifles

Who know that what they do is real

Unvexed with life’s mere trifles

God Bless the guys who fly the planes

And guys who sail the oceans

And Arty guys and all who keep

Bad guys from having notions

God Bless our M1 Abrams crews

Marine Corps grunts and Gunnys

And all the guys in camo who

Turn tough guys into bunnies

Yes bless the moms who give us life

Raise men from boys in diapers

God Bless our soldiers, bless them all

And especially our Snipers

The Three Stooges

The Pakis wonder how American helicopters could have evaded their sophisticated air defenses they spent so much money to buy.

A third world gook

Can buy a nuke

And plans and centrifuges

But otherwise

For smarts to rise

We’ll send them the Three Stooges

l

It Depends

Over the years we have taken out a grand total of two bad guys, out of a world full of bad guys. Saddam and bin Laden are now gone, and Khaddafi is in the crosshairs, but not North Korea’s Kim nor Syria’s Assad, nor any member of the ruling Chinese Communist party, not to mention petty African dictators who routinely kill and imprison and torture their own people who dare to disagree with them. Are we in the business of taking out bad guys or are we not? Well, it depends.

Why are there some too bad to live

While others even worse

Escape the settlement we give

A short ride in a hearse

It seems a crazy way to deal

With nutcakes like the Nork

Or could it be they just might feel

Like nuking our New York

The Chicoms kill more people than

The rest of world combined

And yet we hail their five year plan

No problems do we find

It all rests on whose ox is gored

Some bad guys are our friends

Why are some taken off the board

We shrug, say it depends

Our Faithful Allies

Osama bin Laden was hiding in plain sight in Pakistan, in a mansion built for him by the Pakistani Intelligence Service, the ISI, about thirty miles north of the capital city of Islamabad, next to the Pakistan Military Academy, in a neighborhood populated by retired Pakistani military officers, this all the while the Pakistani government was vehemently denying they knew where he was, and were, moreover, actively looking for him. The question is, why now?  Why now have the Pakis given up a man they have hidden for so many years? Was there a quid pro quo? Did we finally make them an offer they couldn’t refuse? This story does not end with the death of Osama bin Laden.

Suggesting that the Paki

Are disloyal is so tacky

That it angers some to hear such claims be made

They have been our allies faithful

To deny it is disgraithful

And I’m here to see those lies to rest be laid

Yes they built for him a mansion

Ten foot walls and every stanchion

Built of concrete steel and bullet proofed to boot

They protected him and hid him

While the ISI did bid him

Do the dirty work while telling us that, shoot

They were looking for him also

Which we all knew well was false so

Just whose fault is it that he has lived this long

Yes good allies are the Paki

And bin Laden was their lackey

Why they turned him in will take another song

Done With Him

In a daring raid, US Navy Seals killed Osama bin Laden and choppered his body to the carrier USS Carl Vinson, where he was slid into the sea. It is not known what the sea thought of this unpleasant intrusion, but I have an idea it was not pleased.

Shot and killed by Navy Seals

Wrapped in a clean white sheet

Set in the sea as blood congeals

An anchor at his feet

The sea, without a by your leave

Screamed it was not a dump

And with a mighty ocean heave

Spat up the noisesome lump

The End Of History

A few years it was widely believed, by some, that we had reached the end of history, that from now on the world would be at peace and harmony would rule men’s lives. Those silly dreams were soon dashed, and the current uprisings in the Middle East are evidence that history is a never ending story.

It always is a mystery

Why the seeming end of history

Always comes apart so easy at the seams

As gunmen storm the palaces

And monks quick hide their chalices

As rebels try to realize their dreams

For history can never end

The past and present is a blend

Of what has gone before and what comes next

And those who think they know what will

Come tumbling over the next hill

Should be aware that no one knows the text

Carbon Credits

It has come to light that many corporations that paid millions of dollars to carbon credit companies actually received no carbon credits, the carbon credit companies pocketing the money without planting any trees or doing any of the other goofy things Al Gore promised the carbon credit companies would do. So it is all a money making scam, as many of us knew from the start.

Who’da thunk, who could believe

That any man could so deceive

I’ll wager Mr. Gore was much surprised

If not mistaken he’s involved

And one day when the case is solved

We’ll find he’s been a crook like we surmised

Though possibly Al Gore was clean

He truly bled not red but green

And carbon credits bought from Al were good

He canceled out emissions fair

By planting forests in the air

On top of that he said his head was wood

Media Wars

The numbers do not look good for President Obama at this early stage in the 2012 election campaign. The wars in Afghanistan and Libya are not going well, gas is at five dollars a gallon, unemployment is high, inflation is evident at the grocery store, and people who voted for hope and change are realizing there is no hope and they’re down to loose change. But Obama is not worried. The president’s strategy is clear: win the war in the American media.

My fellow citizens of the world

We’re in a war today

A war we neither sought nor want

A war that came our way

A war upon a peaceful group

In far off Hindu Kush

Who never did a thing to us

Begun by evil Bush

I am commander yes in chief

Of forces all arrayed

Including WaPo and the Times

And all the news that’s played

On every network TV show

Including those for laughs

And this is how we win this war

With lies and phony graphs

We have the papers on our side

And folks who tingle too

They’ll spin each storyline our way

We’ll turn the country blue

My goal is not to win the wars

In Libya or the Stans

The wars will be won here at home

With press, my trusty fans

The GOP, in Allah’s words

Will die election night

In 2012 we shall return

The future, friends, is bright

A l’Outrance

Is Obama the new Napoleon, taking over the Republic and naming himself Emperor? Will he win re-election in 2012 on the votes of all those now dependent on the government for their livelihood, the unions, the federal and state workers, the people on food stamps, the voters from Mexico? Will Acorn and Soros be able to steal the election? Will the sun of Austerlitz shine on Obama election day 2012? And if it does, will there be an election day 2016 that is not simply a one party non-event where the strongman gets ninety-nine percent of the vote? What does Obama think? Read on.

We press them hard and fiercely, a l‘outrance

We do not let them think or speak or breathe

We pull the strings and watch the puppets dance

And soon they’ll love the system we bequeath

A system foreign to the USA

But one that fills my tender soul with pride

Battalions cheering as they march my way

Vast numbers of good people by my side

Like Soros and Pelosi, Harry Reid

Chuck Schumer, Farrakhan and Jesse too

My first term is but just a springtime seed

The sun of Austerlitz is now in view

There will not be a Moscow filled with ice

We’ll not retreat, we’re blessed with soft warm rain

We win and let the losers pay the price

And bow the head to Emperor Hussein
